In today's culture where youth are exposed to never ending demands and unfiltered media, the expectations of behavior are driven by their own generation's characteristics. Facebook, MySpace, texting, IM and other instant communication technologies may explain Millennials' reputation for being peer oriented and for seeking instant gratification. Millennials, like other generations, are shaped by the events, leaders, developments and trends of their time.  

Here at Crosswalk we have termed our Junior High Class "J-walk" and we call our High School Class "Boardwalk."  The reason for these terms is that they represent the intersection of God and life.  The leaders in J-Walk and Boardwalk understand who the Millennials are and, through Bible Study curriculum centered on God's Word, concentrate on giving themselves to this ministry and introducing Jesus as a person into their lives.  Students in J-walk and Boardwalk classes experience God through fun games and serious Bible studies coordinated by committed leaders who meet each youth where they are.  It is through love and love only that this ministry continues to work.
